No Craft Supplies?

Craft supplies can be expensive, but being thrifty and frugal can be helpful.  Looking at thrift stores, checking grandparent's attics, or your own attic, garage sales, and craft stores are great.

If you don't have any craft supplies, no knitting needles, or a crochet hook I can give you a few ideas on substitutes.

1Knitting NeedlesChopsticks can easily be used as knitting needles.
2Crochet HookIf you have used notebooks around, the notebook wire can be used to fashion a crochet hook.  All you need to do is straighten the wire.  Next bend the wire in half.  Then you twist the wire to give it some strength.  Finally you bend the tip into a hook.  This DIY take a little bit of patience, and maybe some gloves.
3Embroidery LoopDon't have time or money to invest in a embroidery loop.  One can be fashion out of a used container.  For example those quart containers for soup from restaurants can be made into a loop.  You cut a hole into the lid.  Then you cut the rim from the bottom container.  The main draw back is that the fabric needs to be constantly tighten.  Other than that, this solution is a great way to try embroidery without investing too much into the equipment.
4Knitting NancyThis one can be made with a wooden spool and a few nails.  Of course, there are barely any wooden spools, one can be made from notebook wire.  Just make prongs about a inch long, and make a ring.  The result should resemble a crown.
Here is how one would look...
